BEHIND THE SCENES WITH

NICHOLAS DALEY

Nicholas Daley, the Jamaican-Scottish menswear designer celebrated for honoring his roots through craft and culture, infused the Jamaica Edition campaign with his signature blend of tradition and modernity. Drawing from both sides of his lineage, Daley approached the project as a celebration of this connection.

“MY DUAL HERITAGE IS WHAT INSPIRES MY WORK. THAT’S THE SAME APPROACH I TOOK TO STYLE THIS CAMPAIGN, CHOOSING CLOTHES THAT FEATURED THE SIGNATURE PATTERNS AND TEXTILES OF SCOTLAND WITH THE VIBRANT COLORS AND SILHOUETTES INSPIRED BY JAMAICA.”

For Thomas Doherty, Daley chose a hero piece that captures the essence of his dual heritage. With stripes that subtly echo the colors of both nations’ flags and an emblem with the national flowers, this shirt serves as a refined tribute to two cultures united in craft and spirit.

To complete the look, Daley paired olive trousers with a tartan accent—a pattern that continues to symbolize pride and identity across both Scotland and Jamaica. The same motif appears in the shoes that Doherty is wearing – a collaboration with Clarks Originals, where the Wallabee™ is reinterpreted in rich leathers, suedes, and tartan details.

For the record store attendant, Daley selected his Reggae Klub T-shirt, paying tribute to his parents and their pioneering late-1970s nightclub series. The club introduced reggae music to Scotland at a time when the genre had little presence, and within the record store setting, the shirt becomes a tangible link to musical heritage.

Daley’s creative eye elevated the production, offering pieces to create authentic yet effortlessly cool attire for our cast throughout the film. This collaboration is only the beginning of our partnership with Daley – stay tuned for more exciting news in 2026.
